Tasting notes by Laurent Michelet « Burgundia Œnologie »
Harvested on September 24th, grapes in perfect health, vatted for 14 days with punching down twice a day.
Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
A beautiful ruby-red colour with dark purple highlights.
The very first nose reveals savage notes of sloes and kirsch. This evolves into a lingering spicy varietal note typical of the gamay grape.
The mouthfeel is already present, with good volume and fine texture. The wine is quite smooth yet reveals an assertive side. A delightful crisp fruity note pleases and excites the taste buds.
In the finish, this is a well-structured, flavoursome and quite serious wine.

Food matching: pepper steak, roast beef with ceps.
Aging potential: 6 years
